The Roots
Frankland's roots trace back to 1917, when Mr. Frank Ireland began his journey as a skilled carpenter in the Lake District. Built on traditional craftsmanship and a strong work ethic, the family trade was passed down through generations.
A New Chapter in Horsham
In 1950, the family relocated to Horsham, where the next chapter began. Steve Ireland, born in 1964, grew up immersed in the trade, learning first-hand from his father. He spent 13 years working alongside him, developing a deep understanding of carpentry and joinery.
Derek Joins the Trade
In 1985, Derek worked with Steve on carpentry and joinery projects, gaining a thorough understanding of the construction industry.
Building on the Foundation
Building on this solid foundation, Steve went on to establish his own successful business specialising in windows and doors. Over the years, he gained extensive hands-on experience across the industry, refining his expertise in both product knowledge and installation.
Frankland is Established
In 2024, Frankland was established — bringing together over a century of heritage craftsmanship with decades of specialist experience in modern windows and doors.
Strengthening the Team
As the business has grown, Derek joined Frankland to lead business development and pre-construction, strengthening the company's ability to build strong client relationships and deliver well-planned, high-quality projects from the outset.
Frankland Today
Today, Frankland combines traditional values with high-quality materials and expert installation to deliver reliable, long-lasting results for every customer.
